Aqua Yoga is a unique series of exercises developed by Francoise Barbira Freedman the founder of Birthlight.
Aqua Yoga combines the supportive nature of water as well as the harmonizing effect of yoga; this makes it ideal for people of all ages and health to not only keep fit but strengthen the body and mind. Aqua Yoga is therefore ideal for pregnant women as well as those recovering from operations or even those with long term injury.
Aqua Yoga uses a mix of slow stretching, breathing and relaxation techniques. The water provides a great support for bodies, and allows stretches that might not be possible on dry land, possible.
Many of our Aqua Yoga exercises are classical yoga postures adapted to water, however no previous experience of yoga is necessary to benefit from these exercises.
